The Cyber Risk Analyst plays a vital role in keeping an organisation's proprietary and sensitive information secure. They will work closely with the Network Risk Analyst and CISO to identify and proactively resolve flaws in the company's security systems, solutions. DescriptionCyber Risk Analyst - Crypto Exchange Without restricting the generality of this job description, the Cyber Risk Analyst shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned including but not restricted to, the following: Research/evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them.Plan for disaster recovery and create contingency plans in the event of any security breaches, per specific breach or malicious actor scenario.Monitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorised or illegal activity utilising SIEM tools and industry standard protocols.Test and evaluate security products working closely with account managers and technical vendor staff.Investigate security alerts and provide incident response and post incident reporting.Monitor identity and access management, including monitoring for abuse of permissions by authorised system users both internally and externally.Generate reports for both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders.Maintain an information security risk register and assist with internal and external audits relating to information security.Monitor and respond to 'phishing' emails and 'pharming' activityIdentifying internal and external threats and ddos attacksAssist with the creation, maintenance and delivery of cyber security awareness training for colleagues, both technical and non-technical staff.Give advice and guidance to staff on issues such as spam and unwanted or malicious emailsAssist in implementing new security tools including Qualys, Darktrace, and LogRythm ProfileCyber Risk Analyst - Crypto Exchange Expectations for the role: With the detailed nature of the sector and environment, the individual joining this client will need to demonstrate experience or understanding of the following: * Cryptographic primitives such as: block ciphers, hash functions and public key crypto algorithms. Knowledge on post-quantum crypto is a bonus.* You have experience in documenting or reviewing hardware and/or software implementations of cryptographic primitives in embedded devices.* You have experience in signal processing In terms of more general IT and Security experience, the selected individual will ideally have or be able to demonstrate the following experience and/or skills: Hands on experience / knowledge of Security frameworks, including ISO27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials Plus etcAbility to analyse the incident logs, understanding where threats can originateYou should know how to work with the SOC, what actions to take, how to mediate issues, run a call, producing the report, analysing post trade or post event process, all while maintaining a high level of accuracy throughoutA high level attention to detailExperience working with or dealing with NCA and other insurance companies/bodiesYou will be liaising with the SOC both onshore and offshore
