About us: The Endpoint Infrastructure team play a pivotal role in ensuring Students have access to the applications and end-user services they need to support their learning. They package, deploy, upgrade and repair applications that are specified by course leaders and faculties. The University has recently supplemented its SCCM/MECM and Jamf Pro environment with AppsAnywhere, a virtual application solution to help manage the larger end-user device base following the move to more remote learning.

About the role: The Endpoint Infrastructure Engineer's role is to provide best practice technical expertise in the operation and improvement of the University's end-user computing environment and services. This role will also assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of enterprise quality end-user systems and services to meet the needs of the University in the present and future.

The successful candidate will have:

Experience of an enterprise scale IT Endpoint infrastructure.

The current skills and knowledge required to package applications and deploy them via SCCM/MECM, Jamf Pro, or a similar application deployment platform.

They will also be used to evaluating and delivering solutions, and proposing enhancements in order to provide the best possible endpoint management at UWE.

The University will be implementing a hybrid way of working once restrictions from Covid 19 end, therefore you will be expected to come onto campus to work for part of your working week. Exact days to be agreed.

This is a permanent post and is full-time working 37 hours per week.

This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.

The University's normal practice is that new appointments will be made at the starting point of the grade.
