C++ Developer Oxford / WfH to £75k

C++ Developer / Backend Software Engineer (C++ HPC CFD) *Remote Interview WfH*. Would you like to work on intellectually and technically challenging projects within an R&D type environment that encourages knowledge sharing, continual learning and close collaboration?

You could be progressing your career at a growing Oxford based scientific software house.

As a C++ Developer you will design and develop core components of their flagship product used by the energy sector to model fluid dynamics (oil reservoirs); you will research and develop computational methods to simulate fluid flow in the sub-surface, including production and injection streams. You'll be writing complex system documentation and ensuring code is well tested as well as contributing to the overall stability, ease of use and product performance.

There's a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; in time you'll join colleagues in the Oxford office for 2-3 days a week (parking available).

Requirements:

You're degree educated, having achieved a minimum 2.1 at BSc - scientific or numeric discipline preferred e.g. Physics / Mathematics / Mechanical Engineering; likely to have studied to MSc / PhD level

You have strong object orientated C++ development skills

You have Python scripting skills

You're familiar with parallel architectures and libraries (MPI, threads)

Desirable: large scale numerical simulations of mathematical models, scalable linear and non-linear solvers, full lifecycle development
