Their team

The IT team is a small team with many functions contracted to third parties. The team works closely together with many team members managing multiple roles and providing back up for each other. Standard ITIL practices have been adopted or are in the process of being adopted.Engineering is a third line support function with service desk and front line support contracted with a service providerDescription

Role

Working in a small team the role is to support the current environment and project work to deliver change to that environment. As well as working with the company's team the role will also involve working with the third parties that are contracted to provide IT service to the company.It is expected that general IT engineering skills will be required but primarily this role is concerned with technologies that support the network (WAN, LAN, Wireless, Firewall etc), Unified comm (MS Teams, Web-ex, Zoom etc), and Audio Visual software and hardware.The successful candidate will be able to support C-level meetings, helping to set up and support audio-visual arrangements between sites and with external customers when needed ResponsibilitiesResponding to on site and off site technology incidents based on documented processes to resolve issuesSupporting audio-visual equipment and audio-visual requirements in time critical situations for all levels of the groupProject work to support integration of systems, upgrades of current systems or provision of new service as part of the IT team and the other teamsOccasional training of staff in best use of systems as appropriateDocumentation of existing and new systems and services as neededContribution to ITIL practices such as CMS, Problem management, Change management etc Skills and experienceAlong with previous experience of working in an ITIL based engineering function the candidate must have experience of :Managing, troubleshooting and supporting UC technologies including VOIP, IPT, collaboration tools, Audio/Video conferencing, SIP/TDM trunkingManaging, troubleshooting and supporting networking technologies including switching, routing and wireless networksManaging, troubleshooting and supporting Audio Visual equipmentMultiple manufactures within the UC applications space (Cisco, Microsoft and Zoom)Cisco and Cisco Meraki switches, firewalls and wireless access pointsCisco CU CM, Expressway and Web-ex Hybrid technologies The candidate
