In partnership with King's College London we have dedicated clinical research facilities and a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centre. The Role The main purpose of this post is to support the delivery of information and reporting to and on behalf of the Trust. The post will act as department lead on several internal reports and national submissions, where they will manage and coordinate the overall process from design to extraction to submission and ensure all requirements are met. In doing so the post holder will become expert in NHS and Trust datasets and will be required to liaise with service managers, operational leads and clinicians. The role will offer the candidate the opportunity to familiarise themselves with a range of health systems and datasets to support clinical staff and inform operational processes.  They will gain experience with a variation of reporting tools and methods and will be exposed to data quality issues and resulting data assurance techniques.  The candidate will also work closely with new HER programme to ensure the reporting and data development meets departmental needs. The role will involve a variety of tasks which could include: Running existing and developing new reports Manipulating and collating complex datasets in order to produce the Trust's performance reports and mandatory submissions, ensuring they are presented, distributed and submitted to a strict timetable Drafting communications and liaising with relevant service leads Ensuring process documentation is kept up to date Developing in-depth knowledge in a variety of health technology areas and datasets Ensuring a high quality of data for use in departmental reporting The Candidate The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, preferably in a scientific discipline, and will have knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: Data analysis and statistics Health care information management and/or reporting Scientific research Healthcare service delivery (clinical or non-clinical). Project management Implementation of technological innovations Experience in dealing with clients They will also have excellent interpersonal skills and will be comfortable working with large, complex datasets and data management tools such as Microsoft Excel.
