The DaVita International Clinical team supports medical and nursing teams across 10 countries covering Europe, Middle East, APAC and Latin America. The team is responsible for ensuring patient care is world class including governance of medical outcomes, patient safety events, nursing practices and other clinical activities. The International Clinical team is responsible for driving quality improvement initiatives and for supporting the local country clinical teams. The need for rapid and accurate insights from multiple data sources to facilitate patient care improvement and quality assurance has grown with the organisation over the last 3 years. At present a range of healthcare data is being extracted from a number of sources including electronic medical records, workflow management tools and ERP systems for quality management. Streamlining, automating and generating more insights from these existing data sets is one of the main areas of focus for the International Clinical team.

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, this is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, energetic and talented individual to join a truly global and fast-paced international team. The individual should be technically skilled in all aspects of data mining and analysis and be passionate about creating compelling data visualisations - information should be beautiful. The position has great exposure to top senior management of the organisation.

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position, however, these are not exhaustive.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Integrate disparate data sets, conduct exploratory analysis, and create actionable insights for quality assurance and patient care improvement.

Transfer and streamline existing healthcare data flows with focus on automation of processes wherever possible

Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts (eg. R or Python) that will make data evaluation processes more flexible/scalable across data sets

Create data visualization capabilities to communicate findings in a rich and exciting format to a range of stakeholders

Works collaboratively with clinicians, nurses, and other teammates to identify opportunities to create value through advanced analytics

Design and implement predictive and optimization models to project patient outcomes dependent on demographic and clinical care variables 

Storyboard, stress test, and articulate arguments to key decision-makers 

Prepare rapid feasibility analysis to evaluate requirements for new and revised projects

Qualifications

Following are the qualifications and certifications associated for this job position. Some are required and others are preferred.

3+ years' experience as a data analyst/manager with proven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization

Experience integrating disparate data sets held in a number of repositories

Ability to produce statistical analyses using a range of statistical analysis software (eg. SPSS, SAS, R, Python, etc)

Experience in manipulating and querying data at scale

Good grasp of classical statistical methods, such as fitting regression models, inference testing and sampling

Expert level experience with Excel and Microsoft Office functionalities

Experience writing programming languages including SQL and Python

Business Intelligence software experience a bonus (eg. QLIKSense, PowerBI, Tableau)

Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Information Systems/ Mathematics/ Computer Science or another quantitative discipline preferred

Experience working in an organisation that provides healthcare services (e.g., NHS trust, hospital system, community care provider) preferred

Good knowledge of healthcare involving Real-World Evidence or experience with patient-level, longitudinal data
