The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is at the forefront of providing trusted and impartial evidence to understand how the Coronavirus is affecting our society and our economy. Our research, analysis and statistics are informing the national response to and recovery from the current health emergency. Our work is in demand and so are you. We have a wide range of opportunities to work on analysis contributing to decision-making at the heart of government.
These roles will require you to apply your analytical skills to undertake research, innovate and solve problems in data management and analysis. You will provide expertise to research, methods development, and data transformation projects, using a range of software packages and analytical techniques. These roles may involve line management or matrix management of discrete teams and may sit within specific research teams or may be embedded within the business.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are essential, as these roles require engagement with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and collate evidence to deliver the research or method under investigation. The role will require the production of high-quality technical papers or articles for stakeholders or customers.
