What will our BI look like in the future? Join us and define it. The challenge Often in the public eye, the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) is an evolving public corporation. Essentially, we're responsible for shaping and delivering the regulation of nuclear safety and security across the UK. To perform at our best, we need the support of an expert BI function. As Senior BI Developer, you'll shape this key area and its architecture, defining the platforms and capabilities we'll use in the future. The role Leading BI Development in a newly formed team, you'll provide crucial support for Business Intelligence and the wider IT department. The goal is to provide actionable insights and solve complex business issues though analysis, advanced visualisation, data warehousing, and business intelligence, predictive analytics and machine learning. At this level, you'll have the exciting task of leading BI design and development, including the development of backend platforms, using Azure, SQL, Power BI Models/datasets and Power Automate. Supporting the Head of BI, you'll shape the vision for architecture in line with BI strategy and provide technical leadership. With hands-on tasks also an important part of the role, you'll need to be comfortable working within Agile and Waterfall methodologies.   The person Educated to degree-level in Software Engineering, IT, Machine Learning, Data Modelling or another relevant discipline, you'll have proven experience of developing a resilient and scalable data or BI platform service. With this background, you'll have a good grasp of programmes such as Power BI, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Power Apps and Power Automate, plus good knowledge of Office 365 applications and multiple Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) approaches. As well as your technical knowledge, you'll bring the confidence to work collaboratively, influencing and providing constructive challenge. A strong communicator, you're used to engaging with a range of stakeholders.   The rewards We offer competitive salaries at the ONR, with this role attracting a salary of £41,005 - £49,076  plus a London weighting allowance if applicable.
