Position DescriptionI am looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on Ignition Systems Developer to lead the Ignition software design, development, troubleshooting and repair at Mission Critical facilities. You will support in the design and commissioning of the SCADA and be responsible to troubleshoot existing automation software systems in a live, mission-critical environment. You will repair and perform upgrades on our Ignition HMI application.Essential Job FunctionsLead the design, test and commissioning activities for Ignition HMI/SCADADevelop and repair Ignition HMI/SCADA applications for existing control system projects at Mission Critical facilities, with minimal supervisionComplete Ignition software modifications in an online, critical environmentTroubleshoot and resolve alarming, graphics, network, and other critical control system issues during an incidentDutiesCollaborate with members of the Automation Systems, Reliability Engineering, IT and Site Ops teams to perform troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades on Ignition HMI applicationsWork with automation systems from large scale industrial controls vendorsCoordinate integration support schedules, allowing for sufficient time to program, test, and commission mission critical control systemsExamine project documents, including Sequences of Operation, Bill of Materials, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, and project schedules when troubleshooting Ignition software systemsChallenge the status quo and think outside of the box to maintain and repair ultra-reliable, ultra-efficient data center automation systems Skills, Knowledge and ExperienceSuitable background in Computer Science, Mechatronics or equivalent work experience required5 years of recent experience in Industrial Automation projects is requiredData Center experience is strongly preferred, but not required3 years of experience with Ignition by Inductive Automation is essential, 5 to 7 years preferredKnowledge of automation systems (control loops, field IO, etc.) in a mission critical environmentGold certified Ignition Developer (7.9 or 8.X) is preferredProficient with industrial PLC systems manufactured by leading edge, large-scale vendorsStrong experience with IT administration at the software layer, including Windows Server platforms, SQL database administration, and network architectureProficient communication skills in EnglishTravel required is expected to be 25 to 50% but may increase over time as the business evolvesPlease click here to find out more about our Key Information Documents.
