Business Analysts are a critical element of this large and expanding change programme and we are now seeking a Senior Business Analyst to take a leading role in large and complex projects.

UKHO is an executive agency, sponsored by the Ministry of Defence. We work with a wide range of data partners to chart the world's oceans in order to develop and serve world leading software and data solutions to commercial shipping companies, navies and maritime organisations. The role

This is a crucial role in all aspects of the change lifecycle at UKHO, dealing with complex systems and processes, abstracting information into models and documents that can be understood by both business users and development teams in order to contribute to business process improvements.

You will frequently be given novel, ill-defined problems, requiring your skill and judgement to determine the appropriate technical tools, techniques and approaches required to solve them. This may include picking up problems in an area where you have no domain knowledge and therefore you will need to quickly grasp the key/salient points to quickly start adding value.

You will be working with senior stakeholders (Programme Managers, Heads Of Division) and people across the organisation who may be resistant to change, requiring strong analytical and communication skills to evidence and communicate the rational for change effectively with diplomacy.

The successful candidate will be a proven Business Analyst with demonstrable experience in producing business cases and options analysis. This will include a strong track record in investigating problems, sourcing and defining requirements, gap analysis, testing and communicating recommendations effectively to varying stakeholders.
