C/C++ Embedded Software Engineer

Remote Home Based

Our client is a leading global provider of GPS positioning, data

logging and video systems. The company provides its systems to a number of sectors that include automotive, motorsport, aerospace, rail, marine, defence and security, health, agriculture, film and gaming.

The company are now looking to recruit a C/C++ Embedded Software Engineer to join their firmware development team. The successful candidate will be used to programming low-level code for embedded systems using C/C++.

The role involves development of new applications for both the Automotive and Motorsport markets as well as support and enhancement of existing firmware. Alongside writing code you will be required to analyse requirements, generate complete and accurate design documentation as well as task breakdowns and accurate estimates for project planning.

Required skills for the C/C++ Embedded Software Engineer role:5+ years experience developing low level source codeStrong Embedded C/C++ Design and Development skillsA degree in Electronics or relevant disciplineExperience in programming and debugging embedded real-time systemsExperience with the full product development lifecycle, including post-release maintenance.Experience in reading schematics, data sheets and using test and measurement equipmentHave the ability to solve problems and be self-motivated. This role is remote home based and pays a salary in the region of £50,000 to £60,000. **The position is remote home based but you will be required on occasions (1-2 times a month) to visit the company head office which is based in Buckingham.
