The Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative individual to lead their statistics team and develop a ‘centre of expertise' within AFBI aligned with data sciences. AFBI has expansive lab and field based platforms and a highly multi-disciplinary team of scientists working across the areas of leading improvements in the agri-food industry, enhancing the natural and marine environment and protecting animal, plant and human health. AFBI is extremely data rich. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring maximum value is realised from this data through working collaboratively internally and externally. They will also demonstrate strong leadership and change management skills and deliver results which will contribute to the success of AFBI, DAERA, the wider agri-food industry in Northern Ireland and beyond.

Further appointments may be made from this competition should AFBI positions become vacant which have similar duties and responsibilities.
