Environmental Specialist

SC Cleared

12 Month Contract

Inside IR35

Background:

To enable a decision on the appropriateness of continuing to use the in-service munitions we must understand the relative toxicity, performance and procurement options of viable alternatives.

Role:

* Environmental background and experience of tungsten alloys and carbides that may exhibit carcinogenic properties would be an advantage.

* Lead on reviewing the outputs from the safety Case and environmental impacts of current ammunitions in the stockpile and those potential alternatives.

* Risk input and management.

* Undertake investigations into wider systems impacts on host platforms

* Support the development of project outputs to support the development of evidence to assist in the submissions for the programmes decisions points.

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
