Software Tester / QA Test Engineer Chesham to £40k

Leading scientific software house is seeking a Software Tester / QA Test Engineer to help ensure the quality of software to aid more rapid drug discovery for the Life Sciences and Pharmaceuticals industry; the product enables bio-pharmaceutical innovators to reduce manufacturing costs and ultimate expand patient access to vital drugs.

As a Software Tester / QA Test Engineer you'll focus on manual testing but with about 20% automation (Selenium) work across a variety of projects, both brownfield and greenfield, spanning a variety of platforms, from desktop programs through to websites and mobile apps. You will work alongside bio-chemical engineers to develop test strategies and participate in all stages of software quality assurance with regression, functional and integration testing.

There's currently a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; in time you'll join colleagues in the Chesham office for three days a week with the other two working from home remotely.

Requirements:

You have strong commercial manual testing experience

You're able to translate technical and business requirements into Functional, Non-Functional and UAT Test coverage

Your able to plan and organise test schedules and reporting of test activities

You have strong analysis and problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

You're collaborative with great communication skills
