Network ArchitectTo operate as ‘the conscience and voice’ of the Networks team for engagements with newly mobilised projects that are either progressing through RFP activity, or which have made procurement choicesThis role would operate as the Networks rep in all workshops, to be collecting information and then replaying that through a managed process with the SMEs within the perm team, to then feedback as necessary.It’s primary purpose will be to define the potential scale of impact of the options under consideration, and to work with the individual project teams to ensure that all required considerations have been put in place.We would expect that over time, this resource was capable of building an understanding of the enterprise network landscape, and to help describe the transitional path for the programme team.We would also expect that this resource could offer credible and appropriate solution options for the organisation perm team to work through. This Network engineer will have a background similar to that described below: Skills / Knowledge / Experience:10+ years ‘relevant experience with at least 5+ years in a multi-disciplinary Lead Architect roleRobust technical knowledge of modern network technologiesExperience of technical solution designExperience of leading a multi-disciplinary technical refresh programAn understanding of converging technologies, including virtualisation, automation, cloud, mobility, security, monitoring etc.Robust technical knowledge of modern network technologiesExperience of technical solution designExperience of leading a multi-disciplinary technical refresh programAn understanding of converging technologies, including virtualisation, automation, cloud, mobility, security, monitoring etc.Consulting or project management experienceSignificant experience of leading architecture and design on a Digital Transformation programmeExperience of working at a strategic level and of leading large, multi-disciplinary teamsA strong, pragmatic approach to leading architecture and development of solutions, with a proven record in strategy planning and delivery.Sets architectural direction, builds consensus, mediates conflicts providing leadership and advisory services to the business. Anticipates needs and potential objections and helps to create an environment which solicits positive contributions from all participants
