Pricing Administrator 6 months Edinburgh My Client is looking for a Pricing Administrator to join the team, for a 6 month contract. The role of the Pricing Administrator is to provide day-to-day Market Data support for HSS services.To assist in both the research work for Market Data standards, and the proactive investigation required to ensure the business is aware of, and prepared to cope with, changes in market practice and moves into new market areas.Specific responsibilities are as follows :Provide day-to-day Market Data support to HSS business areasInvestigate and satisfactorily resolve queries and issues within agreed procedural guidelinesMaintain Market DataCarry out testing of systems as requested for existing Market Data processesAssist with monitoring adherence to Market Data proceduresAssist with Market Data training as requiredCarry out proactive and reactive research into investment market practices, at instigation of the Assistant Manager, assessing the impact on existing Market Data policies and updating/amending these where requiredCarry out other project work as required.Liaison with data vendors on quality and service issuesOngoing monitoring and review of existing and potential Market Data suppliersHelp to ensure that optimum quality providers are identifiedAssist with process of vendor change or vendor service changesKeep up to date with market developments through liaison with relevant information vendors and review of market publications as directed by Assistant Manager.Ensure effective communication.Express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.Must haveExcel - Use of EUC'sGood understanding of numbersAble to adapt to new platformsMust be vocal if candidate does not understand requirementsAble to work in a stressful environmentAttention to detailExperienceNice to have an understanding of FSCould be from a Retail banking backgroundcompleted a degree in FS - nice to haveIf you feel you would be suitable, please send in your CV
