JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:ServiceNow SAM Pro SME

Inside IR35

Location:United Kingdom, Manchester

Department/Practice:Systems and Services management (SSM)

Job Purpose and primary objectives:

The "ServiceNow SAM Pro SME" is a role in the Product Lifecycle Management project to accelerate the delivery against the Software Asset Management roadmap and getting to value.

Key deliverables of this role will be to:

? Deliver the end-to-end tasks required to accurately capture product entitlement and consumption across all technologies and platforms.

? Required outcome is the delivery of an automated and accurate Enterprise- wide Effective License Position (ELP) for an agreed publisher. Tasks are expected to include:

o Entitlement capture, accurate allocation, and mapping to software models

o Discovery, data normalisation and mapping

o Reconciliation and Reporting.

? Showcase and document best practices that will be adopted for other ELPs.

? Develop and deliver any customisations and integrations required to gather data to deliver the ELP for the agreed Software Publisher.

? Creation and development of a plan (deliverables, timings, effort) to achieve the effective implementation of SAM Pro for priority software publishers and any additional publishers with unique requirements (publishers to be agreed)

Key Accountabilities

1. Deliver solutions using Agile software development processes.

2. Understand the current "as is processes" and deliver toolset changes based on upcoming process changes.

3. Customisation or development of enhancement requests for existing ITAM tools and processes

4. Take care of end-to-end development activities for a specific enhancement or project as an individual contributor.

5. Work closely with BA’s, Architects, Testing team and process teams.

6. Identify areas of process and tooling improvement and provide solutions to ensure tool is protected in process, security and performance aspects.

7. Ensure gaps are clearly identified and reported to BA/stake holders.

8. Work closely with vendor resources to meet development deadlines in case of larger projects.

Key Skills/Knowledge:

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

? Software Asset Management experience in a large complex organisation

? Proven track record of ServiceNow SAM Professional: design, implementation and getting to value.

? Working experience of ServiceNow Discovery, including development of patterns

? Working experience of ServiceNow development, product lifecycle, reporting and Performance Analytics


Desirable Skills

? Understanding of ITIL and ITSM processes

? Experience with IBM ILMT

? Experience of CMDB, and IT Asset Management

? Exposure to Vendor Contract Management

? Knowledge of governance, risk and control frameworks

Experience required:

4/5 Years of hands-on experience working as a data architect on ServiceNow platform

Duration of the Assignment:6 months

? Demonstrates a good end to end understanding of the systems processing for the business area & relationships
