Job Title: Systems & Support SpecialistLocation: HuntingdonSalary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experienceJob type: Full time, PermanentThis is an ambitious UK-based company with subsidiary operations in the USA, France, Germany and China. They supply materials which are used for research, development and specialised manufacturing applications within areas such as Healthcare, Industry, Communications, Academia and Defence.The Role:Reporting directly to the IT Project & Support Manager, this role will combine the responsibility for maintaining and supporting the company's infrastructure, process and documentation management and first-rate customer service.Working with the IT Project & Support Manager to ensure the systems are supported and maintained to a high standard, keeping up to date with the latest developments in technology and shaping the roadmap and strategy in line with the company's vision.Key Responsibilities:Systems and network administration for the UK & US offices, including: Telephony and Telecommunications SystemsServer Support (Veeam/vSphere/Active Directory)Desktop Support (Windows 10/Microsoft365/Intune/Group Policy)User & Helpdesk Support - 1st to 3rd lineFirewall Administration (Watchguard)Network/VPN (Meraki/Nimble/Palo Alto)Working with the IT Support in ChinaAssisting the IT Project & Support Manager to deliver strategic and operational objectives in a timely and cost-effective mannerEstablishing and maintaining Standard Operating ProceduresTransferring knowledge regarding processes into a standard format that can be used throughout the departmentUtilise knowledge and skills from external influences to bring and maintain best practice in the departmentBeing involved in a wide range of projects from multiple small projects to companywide / large assignments that can vary from software and infrastructure to back or front office ITThe Candidate:At least 5yrs experience is a server support roleStrong influencing, negotiation and relationship building skills both internally and externallyExcellent written and spoken communication skillsEffective prioritisationBeing able to set personal objectives and goals and work towards these with limited directionBenefits:PensionEnhanced holiday entitlementPrivate Health InsuranceIncome protection and critical illnessLife AssurancePlease click on the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of; Senior IT Technical Support, IT Systems Engineer, IT Systems Technician, Infrastructure Engineer, Senior IT Engineer, 3rd Line Support Engineer, Senior Network Support, Server Support Technician may also be considered for this role.
