About the role

Babcock Defence Systems Technology (DST) is looking for a Supportability Manager to help us deliver and support, through-life, a world-class Electronic Warfare capability for the Royal Navy. This exciting opportunity will see you play a key role in ensuring that future support and through life costs receive the same level of importance as the equipment performance, right from the early stages of the CADMID lifecycle.

You will be working alongside a motivated and talented team of Integrated Logistics Support/ Integrated Product Support Managers and Engineers following International and UK MOD standards for ILS. You will be using Industry Standard tools for capturing all supportability engineering data to develop the through life support solution. The Supportability manager will be working directly to the ILS Manager.

You will be challenged to deliver the supportability requirements, working with in-house and sub-contractor systems engineers. There will be a need for you to do some hands on engineering and analysis; therefore, you will have previously conducted LORAs and eLORAs, MTAs and developed maintenance schedules and plans.

An effective communicator, the Supportability Manager will produce written documentation as part of contractual deliverables.

What do I need to do the role

You will have some of the following experience, skills and knowledge requirements:

- Knowledge of UK MOD's Knowledge in Defence (KiD) and associated standards including Def Stan 00-600, and/or the International specification for Integrated Product Support, as published by the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD). - Experience of Logistics Supportability Analysis Repositories; SLICWave would be advantageous (Desirable). - Previous experience in the maintenance of Maritime Electronic Warfare equipment, Mission Systems or similar complex military equipment (Desirable). - Experience of through life cost modelling (Desirable). - Experience of operating in a Project Environment (Essential). - Awareness of Systems Engineering (Essential). - Knowledge and experience of Safety and Environmental management (Essential).
