M&E Design Engineer

Manchester

£30,000 + Training + Progression + Holidays + Bonuses

Rise Energy are looking for a Design Engineer with experience in the Heating/Renewable Energy sectors to play a part in the growth of an up-and-coming company in the domestic energy market.

Based in Manchester and covering areas across the North West, this company is looking to grow its team of Consultants and Engineers over the next few years in response to them landing progressively more contracts with housing companies and other clients in the area.

In this role you will be responsible for carrying out various calculations and feasibility studies (heat loss, building emissions, energy usage etc) and for the schematic production and design of things such as renewable power generation and heating systems.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in design engineering and will be excited at the chance to work in a start-up with a promising future.

The role:

* Site surveys, feasibility studies, energy calculations and emission studies

* Design and schematic production for renewable energy & heating systems

* Planning and supervising installations in both new build and existing properties

* Reviewing CAD drawings and 3D models

* Communicating closely with clients and architects to provide consultancy services

The person:

* Minimum Batchelors degree in relevant engineering or energy discipline

* CAD and 3D modelling experience (Autodesk/Revit)

* Good at establishing and maintaining client relationships

* Knowledge of carrying out energy use/emissions/feasibility studies for buildings

* Living in Manchester or surrounding area

* Full UK driving license
