Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Solar PV

Nottingham

£50,000- £60,000 + Pension + Holiday + Car allowance

Fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join an expanding and dynamic renewable energy company, where you will have responsibility, autonomy and play a vital part in the company's growth and success.

This company are an Specialist Energy Engineering company who provide energy solutions and deliver renewable projects to the construction industry in both commercial and domestic situations.

In this role you will be responsible for the development and delivery of Electrical Designs, writing Bid Documents, whilst also communicating with clients and the design team.

The successful candidate will come from an Electrical Engineering and design background with proven experience of Solar PV.

The Role:*Ensuring that all designs meet the technical, electrical and CDM regulations*Electrical designs - Solar and cable calculations*Ability to creatively consider the cost reduction ideas and strategies.*To provide support for commercial tenders and planning applications*To provide support to the Project Managers for both rooftop and ground-mounted projects when required*Office Based and Site Visits The Person:*Experience in Solar PV*Experience in Electrical Design - CAD and Amtech*Electrical Qualification/Background*Experience in writing Bid Documents*Good Communication skills
