Engineering Project Engineer - Rochdale - £DoEHuxley Engineering and a Market Leader in Engineered Flow & Control Process Solutions for Industrial, Offshore and Defence Applications are looking to recruit a Staff Engineering Project Engineer on a permanent basis for their UK HQ (Engineering & Manufacturing), due to succession planning and project workload in 2021-22+.

Based near Rochdale (North Manchester) and reporting into the Engineering Projects Team Manager, the Engineering Project Manager will be working with some of the most established names in the Defence & Offshore Industry and the Engineering Project Engineer will be managing multiple projects at any one time of varying size, stage & complexity, ranging from £100k up to £2-3m.Specifically, the Engineering Project Engineer will be responsible for:Acquiring a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirementsActing as the key interface between the customer and all areas of the business to ensures projects are delivered to customer specification, on time and within budgetSuccessful management and delivery of all allocated projects through the complete project lifecycleParticipate in the 'Sales-to-Project Handover' and contract review process.Preparing bids, attending pre-production meetings, organising schedules, preparing and communicating technical documentation.Procurement, expediting and liaison with sub-contractorsCreate project documentation inclusive of manufacturing work instructions.Carry out risk management and change management activities.Create and maintain project schedules.Project cost control and reporting.Manage scope change effectively. Experience / Skills-wise, my client is looking for an Engineering Project Engineer with the following:HNC / HND / Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical EngineeringPrevious full "Cradle-To-Grave" project experience of skid mounted Engineered / Technical Projects (Requirements Capture - Design - Manufacture - Commissioning, including quotations and manufacturing throughput)Previous experience of customer facing project delivery within an Industrial / Process Machinery or Equipment / Flow & Control -related Engineering environment.Budget responsibility for projects (Up to / Circa £2m+).Ability to manage multiple multi-phase projects at any one time.Ability to read and review technical drawings, schematics & specifications."Can Do" Attitude to Project DeliveryArticulate and effective communicator capable of working with stakeholders at all level.Strong customer focus and ability to forge and build strong customer relationships.Strong communicator with advanced presentation skillStrong planning and organizational skills with a proven ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks & projects For the successful Engineering Project Engineer, a salary up reflective of experience is on offer and the Engineering Project Engineer role is commutable from Manchester, Oldham, Bury, Rochdale, Blackburn, Bolton, Todmorden, Burnley, Denton, Hyde, Prestwich & Huddersfield.
