Operational Acceptance Test (OAT) Engineer- Multiple Locations

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Manchester, Edinburgh

Salary: £25,000 - £55,000+ (depending on experience)

Career Levels : Analyst, Senior Analyst, Consultant, Associate Manager

(must be able to travel to client location in Newcastle)

Note: Due to the nature of client work you will be undertaking, you will need to be willing to go through a Security Clearance process as part of this role.

As a Operational Acceptance Test (OAT) Engineer , you will: Work as part of project teams, utilising agile and/or waterfall principles, successfully collaborating with various stakeholders across specialisms including. Demonstrate experience of test tooling and technologies, employing industry standard best practices for non-functional Testing. Identify issues and risks, escalating and provide mitigating actions. Prepare / review non-functional test scripts, test data and expected results. Procedures (Operability) and Supporting Documentation (Supportability).

Qualifications

The following skills and experience are essential for this role: A proven track record of testing software developments in a structured environment. Ability to working in a changing environment, adapting to changing requirements and priorities at short notice. Technical skills; understanding of system architecture components such as application servers, databases and web services. Experience in writing non-functional Test Strategies and Test Plans. Skilled in Monitoring and Alerts. Demonstrate experience in extrapolation of results and present easy read reports. Demonstrate experience in Compatibility, Interoperability, Installation and Backout, Disaster Recovery, Application / System recovery, Backup and Restoration (Recovery) and Failover (Component / Network).
