Job Title:Infrastructure Engineer

Job Purpose and primary objectives:

VMWare Management:

? To monitor and resolve the alerts triggered in the Vcenter console.

? To create and manage VM templates.

? Managing VMs which includes its configuration , health , snapshot creation and migration 

? Vcentre , VMWare and esx patching 

? VLAN creation 

? Managing the LUN Storage and allocation 

License Management:

? Vendor Coordination

? Managing the license inventory (Currently managed in excel sheet).

Threat Management:

? Run Qualys Testing (for Windows and Linux servers) and remediation of issue if there is any.

Other responsibilities:

? Managing the Cisco firewall rules

? Managing the VM and SQL backup and recovery using 3rd party tools( TSM for VMs and red gate for SQL)

? Basic knowledge in unix to execute shell scripts , configure YUM repository and to check apache/ tomcat logs during issues
