Job Title:SQL DBA Inside IR35 Reporting to:Service Delivery Manager Location:Swindon Department/Practice:D&A Squad Job Purpose and primary objectives: SQL SME, with upgrade, migration and support will be primary objectives Key responsibilities (please specify if the position is an individual one or part of a team): SQL Server installation and configuration on Windows Cluster Environment / VMware SQL Server Quality Assurance Process in Pre-Go-Live to ensure the firm standards Implementing the backup solutions as per the approved pattern Databases migration - Between Primary and secondary Datacentre’s in different locationsKey Skills/Knowledge:Linked servers Configuration and implementation for centralized database administrationSecurity Management - User account management and Security standards implementationSupport the functional testing and rollback testing across all environmentsPerforming Database Refresh activity onto both the development and reporting environmentsAnalysis and documentation of the steps required to upgrade source database/package/report/cubes from source to the target platformPost migration and relevant issue resolution walk through & handholdingRollback to original database environment in case of issues during implementationMonitor the SQL Server system health and resolve any issues post upgrade on the new SQL Server environment
Other skills required:The upgrade of databases/packages/reports to new versions of SQL Server and the decommission of original versions SQL Server databases/packages/reportsWhen needed, make the minor changes in SSIS packages without impacting the business functionalitiesDuration of the Assignment:6 months
