Senior Data Engineer Up to £65,000BirminghamData / Python / SQL / Data Modelling / Data WarehousingExperis IT are currently recruiting for a Senior Data Engineer who will be responsible for leading the data strategy and Engineering across the business.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop robust data pipelines. Data is at the heart of everything we do. The pipelines you build will power our analytics, machine learning and product featuresBuild tools and automation capabilities for data pipelines. The data we ingest and the appetite to consume it is ever increasing - and therefore so is the importance of making data integration more reliable and scalableExtend our Data Warehouse and Data Lake to empower data-driven decisionsHelp build a data-platform to democratize dataSupport implementation of secure design principles according to policies and standards of Information Security Technical SkillsMin 5 years' experience in Data EngineeringExcellent knowledge of SQL and PythonDeep understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (including data modelling, data warehousing)Experience designing, developing and supporting robust, automated and reliable data pipelinesKnowledge of OWASP principlesAttention to detail - downstream analytics, machine learning and product features are only as good as the data integrity and quality from the data pipelineBe familiar with Agile and DevOps frameworksGood understanding of data architecture, architectural concepts, scalability and security/complianceThrive on getting stuck into and solving difficult problemsCapability to identify improvements/initiatives and communicate their value to technical and non-technical stakeholders
