Skipton Building Society has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Lead to join its Data & Analytics team in Skipton. This role is temporarily remote, with a 12-month, full-time contract and a salary of up to £70,000. What You'll Be Doing As our Technical Lead, you'll be a driving force for innovation within our business. You'll lead the team in implementing new Microsoft Azure technologies, and you'll work with our Product Owners to understand how the new platform can transform and embed a data-driven culture.You'll act as a role model, embedding agile ways of working, and you'll oversee the activity and outcomes of the Data Engineering and Architect teams, ensuring they are aligned to the overall objectives of the department. What You'll Bring You're a confident leader, an excellent communicator and a role model to the people around you. You're highly motivated and you love a challenge. You won't hesitate to get stuck into day-to-day tasks, and you always have clear sight of the overall goal.
Your skills:
- Expertise in cloud technologies (preferably Azure)
- Experience in modern data engineering practices
- Understanding of analytical tooling (Python, R, Databricks)
