Security Network Engineer Role Responsibilities A leading Global Bank currently looking for experienced network security professional urgently for a six month contract.Work in collaboration with the engineering, IT and operational teams to support network security requirements, testing and product deployment.
Develop and maintain network security design, policy standard and governance/artefacts.
Testing, deployment, troubleshooting and integration of range of network security products and services
Ensure that all tasks and procedures are completed effectively and efficiently to agreed levels.This role will be based in Sheffield or London. It will come down to where a suitable candidate can be identified Skills and Experience Technical skills and experience
Experienced network security professional
5+ years’ experience of networking (familiar and comfortable with TCP/IP, subnetting, switching, routing, VPN, SD-WAN, DNS, ports/protocols etc.)
3+ years of System Admin skills (Devices, policies, privilege access) including:
Experience of internet proxy and web content management/filtering solutions (e.g. Symantec/Blue Coat ProxySG, SaaS web gateways such as zScaler, MacAfee UCE, Symantec/Broadcom WSS)
Experience of firewall technologies (e.g. Checkpoint, Paolo Alto, Fortinet or similar)
Experience of IPS technologies (e.g. Checkpoint, Snort, Suricata or similar)
Experience of network antivirus/antimalware technologies (e.g. Symantec content analysis systems, sandboxing technologies such as Fireeye, Trend Micro Deep Discovery or similar)
Experience of browser isolation technologies (e.g. Menlo, Fireglass, Light Point or similar)
3+ years of technical support/troubleshooting (e.g. extracting and interpreting system diagnostics and log files)
3+ years of experience working with SEIM tools (Query, reporting, filtering, structure of log files, and other system outputs)
3+ years of Scripting Skills (Python, Perl, Bash, etc)Other skills and attributes
Self-motivated
Knowledge of cloud service offerings and SaaS/PaaS based security solutions
Familiar with automation and orchestration concepts
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast paced and team focused environment
Proven record of delivering and completing assigned tasks
Willingness to continuously learn and share learnings with others
Understanding of Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid delivery life cycles.
Demonstrable experience in working fast-paced Agile delivery environment is desirable
Experience in a large organisation in financial services or another highly regulator sector is desirable
