Junior Technical Consultant SQL Guildford to £40k

Junior Technical Consultant / Implementation Engineer (SQL) *Remote Interview WfH*. Are you tech savvy, bright and enthusiastic with great communication skills? You could be progressing your career, working with clients, learning and developing your skills at a data centric FinTech software house.

As a Junior Technical Consultant you will ensure that client relationships (mainly with Investment Banks) are developed and maintained; partnering with them from project inception to go-live. You'll elicit customer requirements, liaising with the business teams to produce appropriate specifications before configuring the product to meet the bespoke needs of the client whilst managing the full development lifecycle and subsequent implementation.

Providing product expertise you will guide clients through implementation; pro-actively develop and share best practices internally and with clients and make provision for training and end-user support during and after the implementation.

As a more junior member of the team you will receive training and mentoring from an accomplished team and be supported to reach your full potential as a Technical Consultant.

The majority of work will be done remotely from the Guildford office (onsite parking available, regular bus shuttle from the station). The company are currently working fully remotely and intend to do so for the foreseeable, when you do return to the office they'll be flexibility to work at home part of the week. 

Requirements:

Degree educated; Computer Science or closely related discipline

Good knowledge of SQL

Logical mindset, with strong analysis and problem solving abilities

Self-organising and able to prioritise

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; collaborative and able to form strong working relationships both with internal teams and clients

Genuine enthusiasm and desire to learn and progress in a technical implementation role

Desirable skills include: XML and any OO programming language (C#, C++, Java, Python)
