Quality Engineer - DarlingtonDescription: For the Darlington site we are looking for a Quality Engineer to support introduction of new product to a major automotive customer.This is initially a 6 month assignment that may well be extended.Candidates will work within the existing quality team consisting of a quality manager, quality engineer and quality technician, they will report into the Manufacturing Engineering Leader.Good knowledge of AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) standards and tools is very important for this role. Key Responsibilities :Advanced Product Quality Planning - Lead the technical quality planning and ensures customer satisfaction through structured and measurable processes as defined by AIAG industry standards Including but not limited to development of PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, Part Layout, Capability Analysis, coordination of Material Analysis, PPAP, Source ReleaseDimensional Metrology - Applies dimensional measurement science in the development and application of measurement/inspection processes that deliver capable measurement results, supporting design validation and conformity assessment meeting regulatory, customer and product requirementsDevelop and maintain inspection processes - incoming components, in process checks and final inspectionExperience :Essential - 3 to 5 years of experience within a Quality role responsible for delivering APQP to Automotive customer Essential- Excellent GD&T knowledgePreferred - knowledge of CMM or 3D scan measurement technology Please click here to find out more about our Key Information Documents.
