We are looking for a Lead Developer who is curious about technology and wants to learn, mentor others, and work to open-up data. Your work will be innovative and challenging and you'll be able to see the problems you're helping to solve around you.

"Join our diverse team using modern cloud tooling to re-architect legacy systems to move to services so good, people prefer to use them"

We are platform and technology agnostic so are looking for somebody who is curious, motivated, open and self-aware. You will be expected to learn new skills and code in other languages we may use. You will get to build REST APIs, use of .net(C#,.net core,.net framework),Ruby on Rails and support React ,node.js and Angular apps. You will take a Test Driven Development approach, pair programme and peer review commits on GitHub.

We use containerisation mechanisms for building our apps using Docker, logging mechanism using Sentry, Papertrail, and are currently moving towards AWS Cloudwatch for monitoring and alerts. We are building our APIs as microservices using Lambda and API gateway along with RDS instances setup using PostgreSQL to make our APIs highly available, scalable, durable, secured, and reliable. We are not limiting ourselves to only a few AWS services as we use other AWS SDKs to interact with AWS services from our applications.

We have also embraced infrastructure as code via Terraform and Cloudformation to spin up our infrastructure in the cloud within minutes. We encourage our team members to get training and relevant certifications to make sure their knowledge is not limited to one area. We believe in learning and growing thereby helping developers in their career progression. We believe in the "Fail Fast" approach which means we learn via experimenting/prototyping with an open approach. We also ensure that we are committed to supporting our legacy applications. And most importantly we work with many digital agencies that allow us to stay abreast of modern technologies and coding practices. We validate our process regularly with industry standards to ensure we follow best practice.

If you are interested to know/learn about cloud computing and architecting highly available, durable, and large-scale services used by residents to provide seamless user experience, then join us in our journey. We can assure you that projects in our friendly and diverse team are innovative, interesting, and challenging! For more information, please see our standards which are well defined along with being iterative processes and you can go through them via the links below.

You'll be working across multiple exciting application projects, and have the opportunity to partner with best-in-class digital agencies to enhance your skills.

This role is brilliantly suited to candidates who are looking for an opportunity where they can really utilise their knowledge, whilst getting exposure to new technologies that will inevitably broaden and diversify your skill set.
