Python Developer / Backend Software Engineer (ElasticSearch API Node AWS). Would you like to progress your career working on complex AI systems being used to solve real world problems?

As a Python Developer / Backend Software Engineer you will partner with Product and Business teams to design, develop, build and ship new features from scratch using a range of programming languages and platforms, supporting Data Scientists via productionising experiments into high quality code. You'll also help to evaluate and improve the performance, durability and security of applications in production and be an advocate for best practice.

This is a great opportunity as a Python Developer / Backend Software Engineer to remain hands-on and have influence working on complex and challenging systems incorporating complex search / match technology with ElasticSearch.

The company can currently offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as work from home; in time you'll join your team in London, City based offices with continued flexibility to work remotely for part of the week (2-3 days).

Requirements:

You have a breadth of software engineering experience with a focus on middleware and backend systems

You have strong Python coding skills and experience of creating RESTful APIs, ideally with Node.js

You have a good working knowledge of Web Servers such as NGINX, HTTPD or Tomcat

You're familiar with ElasticSearch

You're collaborative with good communication skills and business acumen
