Here at Babcock International we are looking to recruit an IT Security and Risk Manager to join our Cyber Resilience and Information Assurance function in a senior role reporting to the Head of Accreditation and Risk. The successful candidate will be experienced in IT security and will be skilled in policy maintenance and IT risk assessment. Experience gained within a complex organisation or with government would be advantageous.

You will be responsible for ensuring Babcock conforms to government/customer requirements for network implementation and change as well as having ownership and support for the design and update of the IA system. You will also support and review JSP440/604 submissions.

You will act as IT Security Officer for Babcock IS providing support for all aspects of information security including protective marking, use of media, handling of data and forensics.

Other responsibilities will include: * Supporting project implementation through attendance and input to Project Brief Reviews * Provide security and risk representation at the Technical Design Authority meetings as well as attending Change/Applications Board * Provide general guidance in IT Security, including working with teams and the wider environment on IT Security Incident investigations * Ensure necessary documentation is maintained and prepared * Providing a due diligence service to Babcock customers, you will ensure effective change control and provide supply chain risk support * Ensure Babcock policies are maintained and reviewed, as well as coordinating any updates and generating new policies as is necessary

What do I need to do the role? * You will be an experienced IT Risk and Security professional with a deep understanding of risk assessments and risk management in an information security environment * Demonstrable experience of security related incidents and work requests * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Experience in customer facing roles * A university degree in Information Assurance/Cyber Security or similar is desirable
