The Network Team continually push the boundaries to ensure that all areas of the business are fully supported. We are a team that support, create, develop and improve and are proud to be a key area responsible for the management of Network Infrastructure in Santander UK.

The Opportunity

If you are looking to move your career ahead within DevOps in Cloud Network Technologies, then a Santander UK Network role could be the choice for you.

Your primary role will be to perform a full review of the Private SDN and Public Cloud environments and create end to end automated process for provisioning, operations and capacity management using the existing Framework.

You will work within a Systems structure and will need to work hand in glove with the retrospective areas of technologies which include VMWare, Databases, API, Big Data, Mainframe plus many more in order to deliver services on demand and at speed.

What we are looking for

Strong Data Network switch and routing background

Industry recognised vendor qualification to intermediate/higher level

Switching technologies such as VLAN's, STP, Cisco ISL

Experience in NSX Overlay Networks

Background in Firewalls, Checkpoint and Micro segmentation

Experience in Cisco ACI SDN and Public Cloud Technologies including AWS and Azure

Background in scripting/configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Python, Terraform and GIT

Background in Network Load Balancing using F5, NSX and AVI

Ability to automate services in traditional Network Technologies such as IOS and F5

Experience in Cisco ACI Multi Site, Multi Pod Topologies

Understanding of Network Multi Cloud Orchestration tools and processes

Integrate Private/Public Network services to existing Framework tools like ServiceNow and NetBrain

End to end automation and provisioning for DNS using technologies like Vital QIP or Infoblox

Change controls and Processes

Have strong organisation and planning skills to manage multiple tasks so that promises are delivered.

Have a flexible and 'can do' attitude with a strong sense of initiative with the ability to learn fast and deal calmly with situations under pressure.

Support colleagues in functional areas where colleagues are not experts.
