Software Engineer London / WFH to £80k

Software Engineer / Developer (Java Big Data Kafka) *Remote Interview WFH*. Are you a data centric technologist? You could be joining a fast growing FinTech that is helping to revolutionise consumer banking through the use of advanced data centric, SaaS Cloud based banking technology and progressing your career working on a complex Big Data platform.

As a Software Engineer you will design and develop new features and components on the Data platform / infrastructure. The platform is built with Java on AWS infrastructure with AWS services and Open Source frameworks; you'll be encouraged to learn new technologies and contribute to the technical discussions.

Driven by technology the company can offer a remote interview / process and 100% work from home likely to be until Spring 2021 with 3-4 days a week WFH thereafter. Requirements:

Strong Java coding ability, Python and / or Scala nice to have

Strong data engineering with experience of open source big data technologies (e.g. Kafka, Spark, Flink, Hadoop)

Fundamental understanding of database systems and the trade-offs between different styles of database, strong technical design skills for data centric solutions

Good understanding of containerised application development and container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes, Terraform

Collaborative and pragmatic with experience of leading a team, mentoring and helping to develop others
