C# SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Would you like to play a pivotal role as part of our Shared Infrastructure Development Team? We currently have vacancies for C# Software Engineers at our site in New Malden.
As a C# Software Engineer, you will undertake the design, development, integration, and test of the Shared Infrastructure system in line with all relevant processes and quality requirements.
This role will provide you with visibility of software development from the start to the end of the lifecycle, with real-world tangible outputs that can be seen in operation on board Royal Navy platforms. As such, there is potential to go on board Royal Navy Warships as part of the process.
Your main responsibilities as a C# Software Engineer will involve:
Participating fully in supporting the capture and understanding of requirements, designing, implementing and testing the Shared Infrastructure system (C# Software under Agile development structure)
Carrying out complex technical analyses and investigations, including evaluation and selection of technical options, and preparing reports
Preparing complex specifications, developing designs in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards, and carrying out design appraisals in assigned areas to ensure all standards are maintained
Carrying out investigations into operational problems or developments and develop and prepare solutions, individually or as a member of a project team
Acting as the main point of contact with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on specific engineering matters, to resolve relatively complex problems
Taking ownership of specific areas of functionality and become the subject matter expert in that area
Using your experience to offer technical guidance and support to more junior members of the team as required.
Using your experience to help support any overview of our general engineering approach to software, and make suggestions on how to do better or different based on your previous experience
Your skills and qualifications as a C# Software Engineer:
Essential: C# experience Software delivery team experience
Experience of complete lifecycle from design through to test
Experience of working in a large-scale Software development environment
Ability to go from design all the way through to test and delivery
Desirable: Agile experience
WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) experience

Location: New Malden
Salary: Up to £57,750 depending on skills and experience
