Design & Delivery Engineer - Hyperconvergence & Storage This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Design & Delivery Engineer to join a successful and fast-growing business with lovely offices in Stoke and Reading. You'll be joining a business that delivers fully managed secure ICT services to the UK's Defence and Security sectors and to other government departments which have complex and demanding security requirements. This position will play a key role in the support of a variety of innovative, accreditable, cost efficient and profitable solutions which comply with HMG's security classification system. These solutions are operated at the company's premises in Staffordshire and are the foundation for the Company's secure managed ICT services to MoD and other public sector customers. Responsibilities
Qualifications / Experience An excellent understanding of some or all of the following hyperconvergence technologies Dell VxRail - VMware Cloud Foundation on VxRail - EMC Storage Nutanix - AHV, ESXi, Hyper-V - Prism - Acropolis HPE Simplivity - ESXi, Hyper-V - OmniStack VMware Data Center Virtualisation Technologies (VCP-DCV a definite advantage) - vSphere / ESXi - vCenter - vSAN - vCloud / vRealize - VMware Network Virtualisation & Security (NSX) Storage Technologies (Block, File & Object) - Storage Area Network (SAN) Architecture - iSCSI Protocol - Fibre Channel + (FCoE) - Network Attached Storage (NAS) Networking (Cisco, Juniper, Palo-Alto etc…) - LAN/WAN Switching & Routing (CCNA/CCNP) - Physical Networking (cabling & installation) - Network Security (Firewalls, IDS etc..) - Network Storage Configuration (iSCSI, Fibre Channel, VSAN etc..) General Sysadmin Technologies - OS (Windows Server 2K16/2K19, CentOS & Linux in general) - Applications & Services (Active Directory, Messaging & Collaborative Software) - Backup/Restore Software - Systems Management Tools (AD, WSUS etc..) - Configuration Databases - Mobile Device Management and Virtual Private Networks - System audit and analysis
