Controls Engineer Birmingham Up to £45,000 Are you an Electrical Design Engineer, Automation Engineer, Controls Engineer or Software Engineer?Do you have experience of designing electrical control systems and writing PLC & HMI Software?Do you want to work for a UK Leader in Advanced Automation & Machinery?If so, then please see below ….Controls Engineer Birmingham Up to £45,000 Huxley Engineering and one of the UK's Leading Names in Advanced Robotics & Machinery are looking to recruit a Controls Engineer on a Staff basis, owing to succession planning, business growth & project pipeline for 2021+ .Reporting into the Senior Controls Engineer , the Controls Engineer is responsible for the design and building of machine control systems, control panels, machine circuit diagrams, the design and writing of software, as well as writing, commissioning, de-bugging and upgrading software.Responsibilities of Controls Engineer:Design electrical control systems and circuits in order achieve the overall design intent (functionality) of the machine, in order to meet the machine build plan.Create electrical schematics using Engineering Base & AutoCad LT.Design, write, and install PC, PLC, HMI software to machines on time, within the customers' specification in order to satisfy the machine build plan. Common software platforms are Omron, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley and Siemens, but other platforms may also be needed to meet customer specification requirements.Design, write, and install Robot Software and interface with the machines on time, within the customers' specification in order to satisfy the machine build plan. Common software platforms are Fanuc and Staubli, but other platforms may also be needed to meet customer specification requirements.Design, write, and install Servo Systems, network Communications, and Data Handing to machines on time, within the customers' specification in order to satisfy the machine build plan. Common platforms are Devicenet, Ethernet IP, Fins, but other platforms may also be needed to meet customer specification requirements. Experience Required for the Controls Engineer Role: Engineering Degree (or equivalent) in Controls Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Automation Engineering / Mechatronics.Prior Controls / Automation Engineering experience for Machinery, Robotics, Automated Capital EquipmentExperience of designing, writing and installing PLC's & HMI Software - B&R, Siemens, Fanuc, Omron, Staubli - (Sysmac advantageous)Prior experience of full design lifecycle (from concept design to commissioning including documentation) For the successful Controls Engineer , a salary of up to £45,000 and this Controls Engineer role is Birmingham, Worcester, Solihull, Coventry, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Redditch, thought we would be keen to speak to Controls Engineers who may be willing to relocate to Birmingham / the West Midlands.To be considered for this Controls Engineer role, please apply via the link below.
