Buyer Birmingham Up to £30,000 Are you a Buyer / Procurement / Purchasing Professional?Do you have buying / procurement / purchasing experience within a Engineering & Manufacturing environment?Do you want to work for a UK Leader in Advanced Engineering?If so, then please see below ….Buyer Birmingham Up to £30,000 Huxley Engineering and one of the UK's Leading Names in Advanced Robotics & Machinery are looking to recruit a Buyer for their Engineering & Manufacturing HQ in Birmingham, owing to succession planning and growth within the business. Reporting into the Operations Director, the Buyer will a key appointment within the business purchase materials and manage the supply chain, to support the engineering and build process, to ensure that customer projects are delivered on-time, to spec and to cost.Responsibilities of Buyer:Competitively purchase tooling and other "bought-out" items, in order to start the build process on-time and within budget, ensuring that the purchased items fully comply with the design specification and the Customer's specification.Order materials for the control cabinets, on time, within budget, within the Customers' specification, in order to satisfy the cabinet build plan.Select, specify and order materials, tooling as well as general workshop consumables, in order to satisfy the build and service plan as well as the day operation of the factory, in conjunction with the Team Leader.Actively manage the supply of materials for projects to agreed project timelines.Report the status of deliverables to the Operations Director.Manage and monitor supplier relationships to get best value from suppliers. This must include price, delivery time and quality.Work with current ordering systems and purchase order processing systems.Experience Required for the Business Development Manager Role:Possess suitable qualifications and relevant experience in a purchasing, procurement, buying role.Have a Technical appreciation for Engineering (Drawings etc)Be conversant with Sage Line 200 and be competent with Microsoft Office.Have a high level of attention to detail.Be self-motivated to produce high quality results at high levels of output.Pro-actively plan own schedule of work, especially for routine work.Work under own initiative, but also as part of the Team."Can do" attitude and the ability to work to tight deadlines.For the successful Buyer, a salary of up to £30,000 is on offer and this Buyer, role is Birmingham, Worcester, Solihull, Coventry, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Redditch.To be considered for this Buyer role, please apply via the link below.
