Engineering Manager - Azure - Agile - Delivery - DevOps - LondonOne of my good clients is looking for an Engineering Manager to oversee the team of Data Engineers and help them move to a new way of working over the next 12-18 months and on from there.Ideally, I am looking for someone with a Digital or Product background with Agile/DevOps delivery and a technical background within the BI/Analytics/Data Engineering space. It is not important to be able get your hands dirty, only to the point of understanding the tech and being able to converse/understand the teams work.Given the culture of the organisation and the clients, anyone coming from a start up or smaller company who has helped a company grow from the ground up would be beneficial.Job DescriptionYou will be leading a team of 10 engineers providing data and BI solutions to their clients. You plan requirements with both internal teams and clients, guiding projects through the entire development lifecycle. Including managing schedules, prioritisation, identifying risks and clearly communicating these to stakeholders. It's vital that you will be experienced in coaching, mentoring and nurturing teams.

Role & ResponsibilitiesWork to promote and embed agile and mature DevOps practices between development and technical operations.Share advanced modern, agile software development practices and help develop and push great engineering and organisational practices.Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers.

Skills & QualificationsDesign, development and delivery of Data and BI solutions (this is however not a technical role).Extensive knowledge of Agile and DevOps approaches, processes and tools with a proven track record in implementation and adoption.
