Working within the Defence Digital organisation, the Defence Digital Service (DDS) are a digital skunkworks team that work on some of the most demanding issues facing Defence and our Armed Forces, both in the office and in the battlespace. We work on our own projects as well as consulting and supporting other teams to deliver across Defence..What you will be doing with us:
As a principal developer in the Defence Digital Service, you'll work alongside other senior technology and digital experts as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be coding both applications and infrastructure in modern cloud environments. You'll be versatile and familiar with a range of languages, including popular JavaScript frameworks for front-end work, as well as coding back-end services in languages like Python, Java or JavaScript. And when it comes to infrastructure, you'd be describing that in code too.
As well as working on DDS projects you'll be consulting for other teams on best practices too, as well as taking a leading role in sharing knowledge and good practice with the technical community across Defence. Closing date: 11:55 pm Monday 26th October 2020.
