£30'000-£45'000 + Training + Development + Private health care package + Pension + Holiday.Excellent opportunity for buyer from a subsea oil and gas company to join a stable and growing company who will offer technical development and progression.Based in Dyce this company specialise in the design and manufacture of subsea equipment that are supplied into the oil and gas industry.In this role you will be responsible for Sourcing, negotiating, and buying of subsea materials for the manufacture of Subsea Piping Systems (for example Pipes, Fittings, Flanges and hydraulic schematic parts) to meet client technical specifications and drawings taking into account price, quality, delivery and risk.The ideal candidate will have experience as a buyer or in procurement from a subsea oil and gas background and will have experience of sourcing Pipes, Fittings, Flanges and hydraulic schematic kit parts.This is a great role for someone from a buying or purchasing background to join a leading oil and gas company where you can play a key part in this companies growth and development.The role:

*Responsible for the procurement of materials for the manufacture of Subsea Piping Systems (for example Pipes, Fittings, Flanges and hydraulic schematic parts), in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.

*Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations

*Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and updates

*Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organisation

* Mange suppliers and attend weekly calls to ensure open orders are maintaining schedule

*Prepare reports and updates on a weekly basis to provide Sales, Projects, Quality, Finance and manufacturing departments.

* Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods

* Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules

*Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications.

*Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process.

* Assess and evaluate suppliers and contribute to performance reviews to ensure contract compliance

*Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues

* Maintain and keep ERP system up to dateThe person:*Previous experience of working in a purchasing team within an manufacturing environment.

*Technical knowledge of subsea Pipes, Fittings, Flanges and hydraulic schematic parts.

*Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or similar qualification or studying towards CIPS qualification would be beneficial

* Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding, and cost breakdown

*Experience of working closely with suppliers and on own initiative
