An IT Security Officer is required for our client based in Sheffield, for an initial 3 month contract. Our client is looking for a Security Officer who can support the information governance team with more technical knowledge of IT security. The role is likely to include the following: Working to ensure the client has appropriate and effective IT security policies in placeProviding expert advice and assurance of proposed new IT procurements or developmentsWorking to provide advice and develop remedial plans for compliance regimes for such as the PSN, NHS Data toolkit, PCI-DSSProviding security advice around end users devices and assessing risks around home workingAccessing and managing IT security risks that appear on the corporate risk registerInvestigation or information security/data protection incidentsWorking with other IT teams (network and infrastructure) to provide IT security assuranceWorking with a 3rd party provider to co-ordinate Penetration testingInput in the development of remedial action plans resulting from Audits or recommendations following security incidentsOur client is currently undergoing a migration to O365 and Azure - some knowledge of security within O365 and Azure would be usefulAn appropriate IT security certification e.g. CISSP or CISM highly desirable If you hold the relevant skillset, please apply for this position.
