The Role:

Coexisting with a Premier League Network Team to deliver best broadband services in the London area, the day to day requirements of the Principle IT Systems Administrator role will be to Support (3rd Line), Maintain and Administration of Infrastructure Systems for over 250 users (internal and remote), as well as take ownership of Design & Build, Cloud and Automation Projects as well as BAU operational support in this multi-vendor, hybrid tech environment.Whilst assisting with BAU activities to support day to day Systems Support Operations in an ISP environment, you will also be tasked with Infrastructure Expansion Projects, Cloud Technology and Implementing Systems Automation as well as performing Upgrades and Deployments to support this clients phased growth into 2021 and 2022.

Extensive experience building and maintaining Server Hardware Platforms & ClusteringExtensive experience of Windows Servers 2008/2012/2016/2019Extensive experience of Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Implementation & Group PolicyExcellent experience of Cloud Technology / AWS / Azure / GoogleExcellent knowledge & hands on experience of Google and G-Suite Apps.Excellent knowledge & hands on experience of VMwareExtensive knowledge & experience of High Availability Systems & Failover TestingExperience with Automation, Hardware and Software buildsExperience of building Enterprise / Windows DHCP & DNS ServersExperience of Network Switches, Routers, Print Server SolutionsWi-Fi, VPN's, Network Security and Firewall policiesInfrastructure Security & Systems ResilienceUnderstanding / Awareness of DBA, MS SQL, Postgres & Maria Db)Your role responsibilities will include:Design and implement IT infrastructure monitoringOwnership & Running of ProjectsSystems & Operations AutomationManage SLA's and Manage Supplier ChainAct as the first point of contact for service providers / invoices to ensure stock levels are maintained.Manage and control the Clients laptop estate and cabling infrastructureTrain and mentor junior IT administrators in the department.Coordination with technical aspects of desk relocations, electrical testing, disaster recovery testing, physical security systemsConfigure & Maintain open source monitoring systemsApply backup mechanism for existing and new system deploymentsCustomize open source systems as per our requirementsAssist with BAU activities to support day to day system support operations in an ISP environment.
