Project Manager - Wilmslow Fixed term position for 12 months

This is a pivotal time for data protection and privacy and the ICO's work as the UK's information rights regulator has never been more relevant. The Regulatory Programmes team brings together the right people at the right time to ensure we deliver success in line with our agreed strategies and plans. The Regulatory Programmes team at the ICO plays a central role in coordinating strategic regulatory priority projects and programmes related to the implementation of regulatory strategies and improving the regulatory governance framework in which we operate. The role The ICO is recruiting a Project Manager to join the Regulatory Programmes team. The Regulatory Programmes team is responsible for the delivery of the ICO's critical regulatory projects and programmes of work in which the Deputy Commissioner (Regulatory Supervision) is the identified business sponsor. It also has a wider remit to work with Corporate Service staff to drive up standards and consistency of project delivery across the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating regulatory projects assuring the quality and maintenance of project documentation and ensuring senior staff receive quality and timely progress reports so key decisions can be made. The role is varied, challenging and stimulating, working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. It requires demonstrable project management skills, strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels. You'll need experience of managing competing demands on your time, a good knowledge of the regulatory landscape and an understanding of what working in an agile project environment entails.
