The Position: Our client a FinTech company based in London are currently recruiting for an experienced Data Architect whose responsibility will be to develop, optimize and oversee our company's conceptual and logical data systems.Whether it be ETL, migrations, pipelines or analysis, you will play a key role in designing the data models, strategy and processes to expand and extend the AFSL data foundations

Responsibilities: Evaluate the current state of the company's databases and other data systems and identify new solutions to increase efficiency and performanceDevelop database design and architecture documentation for the management and executive teamsResearch new technologies, data modelling methods and information management systems to determine which ones should be incorporated into company data architecturesWork with cross-functional teams to build new data platforms, pipelines and support their data needsExpand and deliver a BigData roadmapProvide insight and improvement around data governance, resilience and recoverySkills & Qualifications: 3+ years of relevant data architecture experienceProficiency working with and designing relational and non-relational data modelsKnowledge of security best practice within AWSArchitectural experience with an AWS production environment working with data warehousing managed servicesAbility to analyse data flows and provide insight around transformations, data quality and integrityExperience with Agile, scrum & cross-functional teams

Preferred but not essential:

Relevant cloud certificationExpertise in AWS ETL tools including Glue and KinesisExpertise in analytical/ML tools including Sagemaker, Athena, QuickSight or PowerBI
