As part of Group CIO, Cloud Technology Services (CTS) is the primary agent for creating and then managing a future Cloud capability and the associated eco-system of future service partners to enable the bank of the future.

The Private Cloud Contracts and Commercial Team provides a centre of excellence to our Traditional and Private Cloud Service lines providing financial and performance insight to the consumption of services allowing Service Owners to take effective business decisions. We work closely with the platform teams, process teams and business value streams to ensure that the services are managed effectively.

The Contract Manager has operational responsibility for one or more contract agreements and monitors the associated supplier deliverables and commitments. You'll manage the end-to-end lifecycle process of the agreement(s), from development through to execution and termination. You'll also coordinate Contract change control (incl. Evaluation, negotiations, contract-management approval, physical update of contract, etc.) and internal and external communication regarding the agreement and the supplier relationship. You'll form the initial interface between defined client functions and the supplier, ensuring input (e.g. business and compliance requirements) and participation in decision making such as review and approval of deliverables or mitigating actions.

What will you be doing?

Understanding, tracking and reporting on overall compliance with contractual terms & conditions.

Ownership of the Deliverables & Obligations Tracker for the contract(s) they are responsible for.

Following the process for D&O tracking, assign D&O responsibilities and manage the Client and Supplier compliance with obligations on an ongoing basis.

Monitoring and reporting on supplier and client's compliance with contract terms and conditions, commitments and notifications.

Adhering to the end-to-end lifecycle process of Contract Change from development through to execution, including obtaining the relevant partner approvals.

Ensuring that all terms and conditions of the agreements are satisfied, contractual constructs are fit for purpose and risks are mitigated.

Liaising with the Supplier to progress the goals and objectives of the agreements.

Following and contributing improvements to a structured process, rules of engagement and end-to-end support for contractual issue/dispute resolution.

Running the commercial relationship with the Supplier, incl. integrity of the pricing schedules and mechanisms and ensure they are fit for purpose

Proactively contributing to the development and maintenance of procedures, tools and templates for Contract Management processes.

Raising and managing timely problem resolution of contractual issues to minimise impact of service disruptions on Client.

Responding to contract questions and maintain an FAQ log. Interpret the contract and initiate resulting administrative tasks and updates

Raising and justifying requests for contractual changes and deliverables for compliance with the agreements.

Developing processes and managing in accordance with the Service Management and Governance Manual

You'll have a good grasp of contract structure and terms, and the relationship of the services to the business operations you'll be supporting. This calls for a closer working relationship between the corporate department and the business operations team than is typical in organisations.
