The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) is an Executive Agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality and efficacy of veterinary medicines in the UK.

This exciting and interesting job puts you at the heart of the VMD's digital transformation programme. You will play a major role in the delivery of enhanced IT services, from legacy system improvements through to digital transformation and development of the VMD digital service. Alongside a multi-disciplinary delivery team, you will work closely with the Delivery Manager and Product Managers to design, create and improve new and existing products and services. You'll be working with business users, industry and suppliers to identify and resolve user needs and ‘pain-points' through agile software development.

You will be Prince 2 or Association for Project Management qualified and you must have extensive experience working in a senior agile project management role including line managing members of the delivery team.

You must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including advanced Excel and Project skills and experience using a variety of tools to support agile project delivery e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Trello, VSTS.
