Deliver the data that makes Bristol's housing services world class

If you want a business information analyst role with impact, look no further. We need better quality information and intelligence if we're to improve our Housing and Landlord Services. Help us understand residents' experiences, needs, priorities and aspirations - and we'll put your insights into action.

This is a challenge within a new team that reflects the ambitions and priorities of our Moving Forward Together transformation programme. We want to be world class. And we'll look for you to help make that happen.

What will I be doing?

There'll be scope to define our methods as you build a picture of our housing service's performance and customer experience, and industry trends, to create detailed visualisations that influence our strategic and practical decision-making.

It'll demand the creation of workshops, projects and close working with a number of teams and stakeholders - not to mention research and business planning potential new services, legislation and practices.

What do I need to have?

It would help to have professional status. But we'll place greater weight on your experience of qualitative and quantitative projects, and using different lean, agile or waterfall methodologies in the field.

Bringing strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you'll get a thrill from discovering unique intelligence that leads to surprising insights. You'll also be able to succinctly explain those insights personally and visually to non-experts - so that they have an exponential effect on performance.

Why Bristol Council?

We're one of the country's largest Council landlords, with almost 29,000 homes. And that number's set to rise, as our modular construction methods transform our portfolio. In fact, we're set to become the largest developer in Bristol, building a new generation of Council Housing with exceptional resident services.

As an employer; we also go the extra mile for you with a work environment that's fast-moving and supportive - a place where you can use your skills and develop new ones. There's also flexible working and flexi-time to look forward to, the Local Government Pension scheme, and a generous annual leave allowance.

But ultimately, you'll join for the chance to make your name raising the benchmark for housing services across the country - and enhancing everyday life for our residents.

How do I apply?

If you share our values and are ready to be part of our exciting journey, please visit our website.

Closing date: 3 September 2020.

At Bristol City Council, we value having a workforce as diverse as the City we serve. We therefore welcome, develop and promote people from all sections of the community. We particularly welcome applications from BAME candidates who are currently under-represented in some areas of our service.
