My client are looking for a lead software engineer to work within their expanding development team in Manchester. This role will work within a MicroServices architecture and focus on progressing the technical strategy and approach of their team to ensure a smooth process for their customers and clients alike, whilst also ensuring that the core values of the company are adhered to.The lead software engineer will be in charge of a team that works in an agile environment to improve the quality and help the business to advance its offering. You will be expected to bring a strong mentoring quality to the company as you will be in charge of a team of junior developers and engineers working across multiple engineering platforms on a scale that processes at thousands of requests every second.You will also be expected to take a hands on approach to bug fixing and conceptual design within a role that will give you an exciting and vast opportunity to bring your true personality to the table.Skills Required:A Strong working and presentable understanding of C# technologies Experience working with Azure technologies Comfortable working in a TDD environment with SOLID principles Solid Software Craftsmanship?Ability to work to strict deadlines Day to Day Details Managing a team of developers and organise each team members' daily routine and activities Work with the full development team from architects through to project leads to ensure that the agreed deliverable milestones are met Working in an agile development environment, ensuring that the team remain driven and happy to produce the highest quality software and end product.Use the principles of TDD to ensure the cleanest of code is being used from concept through to production Continuous development and improvement of code Creating brand new concepts that can be scaled and give exciting new additions to our worldwide customer base Write high quality code that has the ability to work at hyper speed demandsBe involved in regular tech meetings to share knowledge and impart wisdom onto others within the team, whether it be by giving a one to one tutorial or getting involved in our regularly organised hackathonsPackage and BenefitsCompetitive Salary with generous bonus scheme Pension Life insurance Free private medical care Cycle to work scheme Work from home 3-4 days per week Strong training and development programmes 25 days holiday + additional birthday leave Onsite gym Social environment with regular team events and charity events throughout the year Company discounts
